Syrah is a regal grape. Grown in Europe since at least the 1st century, this grape has history and staying power. The strong aromas and expressive notes that naturally come from the fruit have led to it being grown all around the world for the past two millennia. Every time you drink a Syrah it should be a full sensory experience. This wine was made with the finest fruits in the Campo de Borja region of Spain, all grown on old vines. Rich and round, with spicy floral notes this wine is a joy to drink. The blackberry and pepper play off of one another and lead to a smooth finish. We think it is the perfect pairing for grilled lamb chops.
Campo de Borja is a prominent wine growing region in the northwest part of Spain. Farmed for grapes since at least the Roman occupation this region has a long and storied history of producing high-quality wines due to the ideal Mediterranean climate.
